Look up the price of drone filming in São Paulo and you'll find anything from a few hundred to several thousand reais for what looks like the same service. It almost never is the same service. The cost of an FPV drone video depends on where the flight happens, how long the shoot runs, how much the shots need to be planned, the editing and deliverables, and what else has to be filmed alongside it.
I'm an FPV drone pilot and videographer in São Paulo, and I plan, fly and edit every project myself. Here I explain what drives each quote, when FPV pays off, what to check before you hire and what to send to get an accurate quote in the first reply.
A 30-second flight over a façade and a continuous shot through a working factory use the same drone, but they are very different jobs. That's why I don't work with a price list: every video is quoted based on these points.
FPV is the camera that takes viewers inside the scene. It's worth the investment when the video depends on movement and on a path through the space.
Not every video needs FPV. To show a façade, an aerial view of the site or the neighborhood, or high and steady shots, a standard drone does a better job and takes less preparation. Often the best result uses both: the standard drone to set the scene and FPV to take the viewer inside.
If your project doesn't need FPV, I'll tell you in our first conversation.
Very different quotes usually hide differences in what's included. Before comparing prices, ask:
In my projects these answers come in writing: I show the flight documents, revision rounds are set in the proposal, every project has a contract and an invoice (Brazilian nota fiscal), I reschedule at no cost if it rains or the flight isn't authorized, and the video is yours to use on every channel, including ads, with no time limit.
Send this information on WhatsApp and I'll reply within 24 business hours:
For larger projects, after a conversation, I send a written proposal with script, shooting schedule, delivery formats, revision rounds and investment within 2 business days.
Yes. At events where another crew handles the ground cameras, I join with FPV only, as I did at 4MDG, at Cubo Itaú. I also deliver the complete video, with ground filming and editing.
Yes. Indoor flights in factories, gyms, stores, warehouses and events are one of my specialties, always with a prior site assessment and care for the people around.
Yes. I'm a drone pilot registered with ANAC (SISANT, Brazil's civil aviation agency), and every flight is authorized by DECEA (Brazilian airspace control). I show the documents at our meeting.
I reschedule the shoot at no extra cost.
